I was curious to see who everyone thought the best artist is for land artwork?
My vote is for John Avon.

I agree with Ralph, John Avon, Rob Alexander, and Edward P. Beard, Jr. have done constant nice land pictures.
Besides them i also like Quinton Hoover lands (did only 2).

Rob Alexander, because he was great when most of the artwork in the game was crap (the early years).
Yeah, I know, I'm a heretic, but the early artwork was mostly to poop on. Shivan Dragon and Nightmare are 2 pieces that stick out in my mind as 'way over-hyped artwork loved by people who love cheesy artwork'..

Rob Alexander no question in terms of the best pieces out there, although John Avon is very close. The best land art has to be the one below, in that it looks the best and in terms of being massivily technically challenging its right up there. My personal favorate:

Rob Alexander has my vote.
It's amazing to watch him put a piece together.
I was lucky enough to see him do a watercolor piece for an auction. Beautiful!
John Avon is right up there, too.
If you think their art is nice, you're in for a treat. Both artists are great people, and pleasant to meet.
