I think those Arena cards came in small clear packs, maybe like 10 each. Kinda hard to describe, but many of these cards came in packs like that. I do not think this is a fake.

You are correct. It is kind of a cheaper plastic, not like shrink wrap plastic but like what you night have seen game pieces in a boxed game come in for shipping. The packs do have crimped seals on the ends so crimping is highly a possibility.

Yep - I think the fancy ones even came wrapped individually - I have a sealed Crusade. It certainly could have been crimped the way it was sealed.
