Title: Differences in Beatdown box sets?
Post by motorcitymagic on Mar 2nd, 2004, 8:54pm

http://forums.mtgnews.com/showthread.php?threadid=163739

In this thread, the poster describes that his Beatdown box set had a Feral Shadow, where the checklist said it should be Foul Imp.

Ralph's page documents the Feral Shadow (http://magiclibrary.net/rarities-beatdown-standard-2.html), which is different from WotC's Beatdown deck list (http://www.wizards.com/magic/generic/cardlists/beatdown.html).

Has anyone ever seen a Beatdown version of "Foul Imp"? If so, please provide a scan and information about where you bought your set.

Can members identify any other differences that might show there are two (or more) versions of the box set?

I'll check my set tonight.  I have the Beatdown set in it's own binder section as the expansion symbols make these unique cards.  If I had to guess, WOTC may have a possible error on their page.

None in mine either.  Imo, WOTC has an error on their list.

None in mine; though that's not surprising, since I think Ralph's scans are from me.

I have two sets and none is in either.

It can't be a mistake...WOTC never makes mistakes...ever.   :o

Well, actually, I can think of one mistake that they made (maybe the only one) - letting them be bought by HASBRO   ;)   ::)
