Saviors Prerelease

It is 4:30 in the morning. I am off for the prerelease. I'll let you know how well I fared in roughly 22 hours when I return.  We'll see if I can continue my streak.
(I love these prerelease days.)

Well, it is 6:38 and I am just about to go to set up my table at the prerelease here. Yawn!! I never wake up this early unless I am doing a show. Yawn!! Good luck all. And send me all your blue forks! lol

Well I got back from the midnight sneak preview flight about 4 hours ago. My deck had great cards in it, but I lost in round 2 to a G/B deck where the guy was able to Befoul and Rend Flesh my 2 best cards. Oh well, off to flight 2 of 4 I am playing in this weekend.
I rank the set about Scourge-level. Some good key cards, but the set is lacking overall. Kind of anti-climactic to wrap up the block.

Fun times, everyone with me won stuff. One kid got a box and me and another got 8 packs. Plus today I met Mark Tedin and got a Timetwister Artist Proof and had him draw a sweet picture on the back. Hottness

Met Mintcollector later in the day (he was back playing after the midnight flight).
Went 2-0-1 in the flight (since you got 8 packs for winning, and each player got 5 for drawing, it was better in general to draw), and 2-0-draw in a side draft.
Got a whopping 12 packs out of it (yippee) and chatted with Mintcollector some.
Sold a few cards to some vendors (the remnants of my 2 cases of Fifth Dawn experiment) and in general had a good time..

I had the pleasure of meeting secretgiant on Saturday. Nice rarities collection bud. I am happy to say that I at least got in a draft at the end of day two. I did however suck and lost round one. Damn it! But I do like the set. I am also glad to see it the asian based set end. I am tired of not remembering these long and anoying card names.
Anyone else from MN, it would have been nice to meet you too. Next time come and visit my table. later.

This is the main reason I haven't been as motivated to go to the last two prereleases. I am absolutely terribly at all forms of limited. Usually I go anyway because its a great way to see the new set and meet other players, but ...
