I think dry_cereal will have plenty of things to say about this Grin
Regarding other trading places, the only ones I know of is here and a swedish site... So can't help you there I'm afraid. You could always email the MOTL admins and ask them to kindly unban you. It might be worth a try, if you wanna sink to that level Wink

Talk to Dry_Cereal is has been banned several times from MOTL ...

Banning is unfortunately permanent on MOTL, no way of coming back unless you claim your cause at Mods.

I am a bit surprised you got banned only for one such post on the TVQ. That such a post grants you a Karma Smack, I understand, but it should have not decrease your Karma by more than one point.

You must have had other warnings before, have you??

I have never been on MOTL, but the more I hear about it, the more of a "joke" it appears to be.
I know a couple of the Mods are members here also, and have stated their cases or such in the past, but it just keeps appearing that MOTL is for power-hungry mods.  I can be wrong, but the more I hear about it, the more negative my attitude is towards it.  I have never been on it (except maybe by link when some topic on here is talking about something and links to MOTL to explain such topic), and I cannot see any reason to use it.  Ebay appears to be the best place for trading.
I had looked in the past at MTGNews for trading / selling cards, but it does not appear to be too successful, at least not yet  (well, at least a few months ago when I used to check it out)

I'm an Admin for MOTL, so if you email me the details of your banning I can take a look (including your usename).  However, as it is very difficult to be banned from MOTL if one follows the simple posting rules, reinstatements are quite rare.

In general, MOTL does have stringent policies to ensure the quality of the site is preserved.  MOTL counter-balances the strict rules of the site with a 5-strikes-and-your-out policy to mitigate accidental bannings of underserving offenders.  It is actually quite difficult to be banned from MOTL unless you fail to resolve a trade dispute, or get into a flame war with another member.

from experience...don't post a crimps wanted thread.
big no no.

also, I find as long as I explain my case to members in an email, they will still trade with me anyway.

Jbug, I sympathize, but you were warned again and again for the same thing.  I'm sorry to see you go, but you certainly had your chance.

again, i'm not saying i didn't screw up according to the site, but i do feel permanent banning is a bit of a harsh penalty for the severity of my offense.
if i didn't get the warnings, well, too bad for me. i'm not shirking responsibility for what i did.
just doesn't seem like such a horrible, site destroying thing.
wouldn't do it again mind you...

I think here Jbug is, you've shown that you can't follow MOTL's rules.  You were warned for the same thing a number of times and all, and you didn't correct that behavior.   I am sorry that you were banned, but that's the way things happen I guess.

Sliver.Paladin:

I am also sorry you have such a negative outlook on MOTL, when you've never tried it.   I do know that, in the past, some of the mods have been overly harsh, or so the members thought.  However, we have a whole new Mod staff now.  Mods that I am proud to call friends and most certainly co-workers(not that I wasn't proud of the other mods, whom I still talk to and consider friends as well)  I do wish you'd try out MOTL for a little while, before making such a harsh judgement on how we work there.

Thanks,
Jazaray

hi jaz! again, thanks for the post, please get the point.
i f-ed up, fine.
i'm pissed that there is no distinction, in the mods viewpoint, between what i did, and the little thieving ring in repitigny. the end result is the same. banned.
it hardly seems appropriate.
not to mention, there is no distinction to other members, between those banned for rules violations of a NONCRIMINAL NATURE, and those banned for FEDERAL CRIMINAL ACTS...
or any of god knows how many other rules violations.
it's a bit irritating is all, to just have everyone shrug their shoulders and go, meh....
sorry to have disrupted this board too..
