other message board scripts allow for polls, but because this one doesn't, i suppose we'll have to make do with a pretend poll!
can you spell shichifukujin dragon without looking at it (or without copying / pasting it)?
i can't

Yes, I can. Shichifukujin Dragon isn't terribly difficult to spell. Note that if I just spelled it wrong, then no I can't spell it.

I can only say it if I mumble, so even if it is spelled like it sounds, I'd need an infinite number of monkeys and typewriters to even have a chance.

I've tried to spell it but it comes out obscene every time.

It took me a while to look at it, learn to prnounce it correctly, but once that happened the spelling is very easy.

My understanding of Japanese transliteration is that each and every vowel represents a syllable, so you break at each vowel. Also, since they are transliterations, there are no weird spellings. Every vowel and every consonant or consonant combo are written the same and pronounced the same. Knowing this, you should be able to pronounce it, then spell it easily.
(I'm no expert, but this is how I was taught to read Japanese transliterations.)

Much like Hawaiian is pronounced. Every vowel is spoken. So Hawaii would be prounounced:
ha - wah - eee - eee
to be said correctly. I think this may be a transliteration thumb rule if I had to guess.
