Mike Long

Well most of us know about good old Mike Long and his annoyance of spam once you make this mistake of somehow getting on this guy's email list (ie. win an auction from him). Well while browsing eBay looking at Bazaar of Baghdad prices, I ran into an auction of his that had his pic in it. Having never seen this douche bag before, I though it worthy of a post here of the '3 time world champ'....lol.

What kills me is how he claims to be 3 times world champion. Where do I see even once Mike Long?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Magic:_The_Gathering_World_Championship
And sure the Rootwater Thief was his design card.
Evan: Well you may have gotten off his list, but just as an FYI he has not sent out anything in a little while. I know as I am bombarded like most of the rest of members here. Sadly my auction I won from this tool some time back got me added to his wonderful email list.

his AboutMe page says Orlando,, FL:

I stumbled across him home page at some time, but while Googling the idiot, I got tired of reading through the scores of negative posts about him.

Can one of the admins, or dry_cereal himself, please remove the above address?
I can't imagine the liability that places on the shoulders of Ralph and this website....
Grow up, people.
(Note to the confused: This message was a reply to a post by dry_cereal which gave Mike Long's full address and phone number. That post was later deleted.)

That info is publicly available. His number is listed in the phone book and can be found at 411.com, whitepages.com, people.yahoo.com or any other directory website. There's no liability in simply posting an already available address and phone number.

It's really a question of ethics more than a liability question. Should bashing of a potential or existing member of the site be tolerated?

Yes, because if bashing Mike Long keeps his cheating, smug, lying, spamming face out of here, that's one more good reason to hang around.

Hi Forrest
I can understand,as I do not want to see the same Posts as on MOTL
http://www.magictraders.com/ubb/Forum1/HTML/020985.html
Mike Long is the Number One for Bashing for Years, and he does everything for that since this is part of his Strategy
I believe the less, his name is mentioned, the better it is,otherwise, too many people will have something Nasty to say about him,and that will make him even more happy as LONG as we talked about him

Not at all, and that sort of attack/insinuation is wildly inappropriate. I would do the same anytime someone, other than the person himself, posts a personal address on a public website.
Please, let's bash Mike Long all you want (with Ralph's tolerance). Talk about his email scams. Let's not cross the line by posting his address because if anything happens (i.e. if dry_cereal really does egg his house) it will reflect poorly on this website plus possibly leave Ralph with some liability, even if its just in reputation.

MCM is right, it is childish.
While my opinion is:
If hating mike long is wrong, then I dont want to be right.
At the same time, I am taking his address off the post.
and I disapprove of anyone egging his house
so no one egg his house
