Ok, you lost me.
Should it say something different than the normal English version of Contract from Below?
English 'Discard your current hand and draw eight new cards, adding the first drawn to your ante. Remove this card from your deck before playing if you are not playing for ante.'

It's just a regular Contract From Below, but in German.

The German cards pretty much says the same thing, but the sentences are composed differently.
roughly: Discard your hand and draw eight new cards. The first card that you draw is added to your ante. If you aren't playing for ante then remove this card from your deck before starting a game.
I knew that my German from college would come in handy some day.

Thanks for the input, I probably could have worded the original post a little better.
As far as I know, the German card name for Contract from Below is "Vertrag mit der Unterwelt" - not "Teufelspaht" (or what ever is on that card in this auction).
http://www.wizards.com/magic/generic/cardlists/Revised_German.html
With the name being apparently wrong (I might have a few at home, I'll have to check), I wasn't sure if the text was right or not.

I can confirm that Teufelspakt is indeed the correct German name of the card Contract from Below. It might be possible that they changed the name for the unlimited German Revised Edition to be closer to the original name, but I can not confirm that.

It does not really fit here, but if you would like to find an interesting German card - get the German Ball Lightning. The name is great - personally the BL is my favorite German card - just for the name alone!!

Ball Lightning is translated as Kugelblitz. Blitzschlag means Lightning Bolt.

Oops, my mistake.
Guess I should have paid more attention in class than indulging in the revelry of a mispent youth.
Oh wait... That was BEFORE Magic came out.
My German is almost as rusty as my Sindarin.
Thanks for the correction Ralph.

I don't know about others here, but for me, shouting out KUGEL BLITZ was enjoyable. It sounds so serious and so death defying!
For some reason, I seem to recall there being a Blitz Krieg also, which would sense, as it is Rolling Thunder.
Some German words just sound good in English, IMO.
