I've picked up a few in the past, and will most likely pick these up. From what I've heard they were given away as a prize at and arena league event sometime during the masques era.

Thrond: When retailers were sent their Arena prize packs, included were sealed packs of 10 for the lands. Most dealers simply cracked them open as they should and give them out to participants. These simply were never opened and are being sold in their sealed form. The Arena program has now changed to host five lands for the season year, with 3 prizes to follow as preview sneaks of upcoming sets. The five lands do come sealed and have formed a panorma for the last 2 years.
The Masques mountains you are looking at are not distiguishable from a normal Masques #346 foil mountains. These were given out during the end of year 2000 Arena season when normal foil land was given out. Normal foil land was issued as prize for these Arena seasons:
Pillage 3 Aug 2000 Season 8
Enlightened Tutor 28 Sep 2000 Season 9
Stupor 30 Nov 2000 Season 10
The only thing that makes them special is that they are still sealed. If you have an interest to collect these, then be sure to start picking up packs of 10 for every Arena land card issued prior to the 2003 Arena season as they were all shipped in these packs of 10.
