I think the $40 one was because he had only one of that type, and 2 of both the others. I didn't check which one, but I can guess the expensive one is the prettiest one (the flowery path) 
Sucks there are so few summers on ebay these days

Hi Enrico look under my pic/ avatar.
I have real alpha cut 4th edition cards. I also have one of only 2 made in the world Alpha Volcanic Islands (as of I know).

Yes they missed them out in alpha. There where anyway a bunch of Beta cards that where cut with the old cutting device, this error only occured on a few rare sheets as far as I know. (I have seen Elvish Archers this way also but sadly do not own one yet)
I was offered a lot of money but your offer tops them all.
