Do we have any actual evidence that the Sliver will be distributed soon, or have various forum members just repeated that rumor so many times that it is assumed to be fact? |

Let us (or, let me) just state - I am not repeating anyone. I was told originally when to expect the sliver, and passed that info on.
Now, whether that will be 100% true - well, you can never rely on Wizards (or Hasbro) to follow through properly on their so-called 'set' dates.

Good to know. I know that several people had mentioned it, but until now, no one ever said they had a source or a definate date (so I assumed it was a rumor). Speaking of which, what date did they give you then?

That should be obvious. To show it off to the world.

Here's a dude with a kick-ass set. Dig the PSA 10 Beta Lotus -- population 4. More impressive perhaps is his PSA 10 Birds -- pop 1, the only 10 in the world (certified).

I'm surprised that he has so many 8s and 9s on commons and uncommons - you think they wouldn't be that hard to find. (As compared to Birds or Power)

Surprisingly, this mirrors coin collecting fairly closely. Rare coins of the past were treasured and well cared for. Consequently, such coins are not particularly hard to find in high grades. Many common modern coins, especially after they took the silver out, were never saved or cared for; or just spent. Finding these sort of coins in high-grade condition is very difficult, and even impossible for some years.
