German Revised BB Artist Proofs?
« on: Apr 20th, 2004, 11:50am »

Dear all,

Last Saturday, in the deck of a fellow MtG player, I came across what seemed to be a German Revised Black Border Balance Artist Proof i.e. Normal front, white back), signed by Mark Poole.

There is absolutely no doubt it was a Balance, German, Revised BB. The back was plain white.

It is the first time I see an Artist Proof for a non-English Revised set.

Has any of you ever heard about APs for Revised Foreign sets? Or is it a Misprint?

Thanks,
Eric.
PS: Please do not bother Mark Poole with this question, I already wrote him, I'll let you know if I get an answer.

I have some Rob Alexander APs from WB Italian Revised, and I think I've seen (and maybe have) some non-english IA APs.  Not sure how common these are, or which sets non-english APs were made for.

Hi Mark,

I was definitely aware of the Non-English Ice Age AP's, as well as Foreign 4th Edition APs. But nor from Revised.

Are you sure your Italian WB APs are from revised and not 4th Edition? (sorry, no offence in the noob-question, it's just to make sureSmiley)

Marl Poole answered me but in a kind of blurry way:
Yes there were several editions in lots of languages (german, portugese, italian, french, japanese and others)

Anyone else have pieces of information?

Regards,
Eric.

They're definitely not 4th, because two of them are duals.  I'll check them this weekend to make sure of the language.

Allrighty here...got the 'ol vault open...I have:

Italian Ice Age proofs (several)
BB Chinese 4th - swamp (Frazier), Durkwood Boars, Stasis (Fay Jones woo woo!), Dragon Welp
Italian WB 4th (5 Dameon Willich)...wait a second...I have 4 Rob Alexander Dual lands too.  But they're all copyright 1995.  Was Italian Revised C 1995?  I have Badlands, Taiga, Underground Sea, and Savannah.  In Italian.  WB.  1995.  Weird.

So, I guess I only have 3 kinds - IT IA, BB CH 4th, and Italian revised.

Haven't seen any German Proofs.  I wonder why they went with Italian?

Yeah, I think that's coming up soon, that why I wanted to post my new knowledge so it would be easily available for when the section is made Wink
And Ralf, now that you have bought TWO dragon whelp a/b proofs you have to trade me one Grin

I think so, but, besides the huge amount of work for Ralph, the current common knowledge is still rather low, so any piece of information is usefull.

I should have soon confirmation of the existence of Revised BB Italian proofs, this would be a new set to add to the list ...

Eric.
