A certain extremely trustworthy senior forum member estimated the actual VALUE of the card at $200-250. This is about what I guessed the value was, and my actual maximum bid reflects this. The auction was quite mis-listed.

Not that I have any news that this will be so, it's just a sensation  (2 on Ebay in the last few weeks....)

Yes, after I showed him the auction via IRC Celebrindor said that if he won he would send me one of the Slivers (as a thank you for pointing out the auction). I thought that you noticed since you were logged into IRC at that same time.

if Celebrindor really did say he'd give the sliver to someone else (and it sounds like he did), i think he should certainly give it away. i mean, what good is your word that you'll ship once you've recieved a card if you don't follow through on your word that you'll give someone a card?
