10th Series Crazy Clowns - Do sketches belong?

I've moved the Tracking project over to a new thread, since this one has gone so far off-topic.

http://magiclibrary.net/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.pl?board=news;action=displ ay;num=1086054850

I suggest moving this thread to the Website forum, since it now is more to do with whether sketches belong on the site.

i've made a little php script that should help with tracking:

http://www.frostjedi.com/terra/scripts/cc10verify.php

ownership transfers currently aren't working, but they will tomorrow...

i would post an example of it in action, but alas, my sets haven't arrived yet (the payment apparently went through the day after gamingjim's shipping the first batch out)...

We'll only be able to track the signed/sketch sets.  These are the only ones numbered.

non-signed/sketched ones can be tracked as i'm using the term, but there's no way of knowing whether or not one from, say, set # 12 was switched out with one from, say, set # 13.  i mean, if everyone who purchased a pack registered with my tracker, or sorts, and all trades were registered with my tracker, then the location of all cards would be known (to my script - not to the general public).  consequently, if a card were to show up with someone who wasn't registered with my tracker, it would be a fake.

now, this doesn't prevent people who own original tokens from switching them out with fakes, but...  if they do that, and they transfer the ownership, then their "real" token might as well be fake, imho.

i hope that makes sense...

sketched cards are assumed to be signed already, so to be signed and skeched would mean it was signed twice, heh Smiley

I'll not be scanning mine, for now. I worry it will add the possibility that someone could either fake the drawing or use it in a scam auction.

They can not fake the drawings. In a few hours I will have all the drawings of the cards from the source of the cards. I will them give the scans to ralph to post. I will not let anyone try to scam us.

well, whatever makes a sketch a sketch, that's what it's supposed to be, heh.  the signed ones are supposed to be for cards that are only signed (and not sketched).

anyway, it can apparently be auto detected, based on the set number.

if the set number is ten or less, it's a sketched token.  the specific sketch card is equal to whatever the token name is at that particular index, when the tokens are ordered alphabetically.

if its greater than ten, it's a signed card.  the specific signed card being equal to card name at index equal to the set number modulo ten.

Be careful jumping to conclusions. We only have 4 sketches and about 15 other signed cards in right now, and though many patterns are starting to emerge, there need to be more entries to be sure.
