Effects that prevent or redirect damage may not be used to counter this change of life. Whichever player has more lands in play must discard enough lands of his or her choice to equalize the number of lands both players have in play. Cards in hand and creatures in play must be equalized in the same way. Creatures lost in this manner may not be regenerated. T: Add B to your mana pool.

At the begining of your upkeep, gain 1 life for each card in your hand in excess of four. As long as Guardian Beast is untapped, your non-creature artifacts cannot be further enchanted, destroyed, or taken under someone else’s control. If something occurs that would destroy the Guardian Beast and artifacts simultaneously, the Guardian Beast is destroyed but your artifacts are not. If an artifact is enchanted or stolen while Guardian Beast is tapped, it remains so when Guardian Beast becomes untapped. As long as Guardian Beast is untapped, your non-creature artifacts cannot be further enchanted, destroyed, or taken under someone else’s control. If something occurs that would destroy the Guardian Beast and artifacts simultaneously, the Guardian Beast is destroyed but your artifacts are not.
